WORLD TRADE CENTER: STREETSCAPES
NEW YORK CITY, NY

The team developed an adaptable and contemporary cohesive design vocabulary within the streetscape public realm to support an array of movement throughout the World Trade Center District. We created a cohesive and memorable public realm to complement the high-profile Hub transit center located at the NE corner of the newly completed World Trade Center District Public Realm. The flexible plaza space prioritizes clear movement corridors and a seamless interface with adjacent building entrances and streetscapes. The paving pattern, a variation of the district-wide pattern, is rotated at the HUB plaza to align with the bold geometry of the HUB building.
